Whatever I do, I give my hundred percent: Mithila
Rafiath Rashid Mithila has gained acceptability as an actress, on both sides of the border.
The actress, who is now shooting in Chattogram, recently finished her work for Gias Uddin Selim's "Kajol Rekha". Her film, "Nitishastra", is also awaiting release.
She talked to The Daily Star in an exclusive interview.
How is the shooting going?
I am shooting "Nuliachorir Shonar Pahar". This is one of my favourite novels, and I am glad that it is being translated into the silver screen. I am playing 'Nelly Khala', my favourite character from the novel, when I was little.
The fact that I loved the novel when I was little, is the only reason that I am doing the film. Since I also like working for children, it helps that it's a children's film.
What is your expectation for "Kajol Rekha"?
I can't even tell you how excited I am for the film. Gias Uddin Selim poured his heart and soul into it, and it is going to be a banger. This is a huge production, and I am also thrilled to be playing a negative character.
Did you enjoy playing that character?
Of course. People usually see me in positive roles, so I had the opportunity to experiment a lot with this character. Down the road, I always wanted to experiment more, and this role has allowed me to do it.
How dedicated are you towards your work?
A hundred percent. I do whatever I do, with full dedication. You can say that this is a characteristic of mine.

I am awaiting the release of my film, "Nitishastra". This, and my film "Maya", are going to different film festivals around the world.
I am in talks for films on both sides of the border, and I hope that I can do justice to them!
