Dengue deaths cross 200-mark

At least three dengue patients died while 859 others were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till this (November 13, 2022) morning.

With the new deaths a total of 202 people died from dengue fever this year while total number of cases rose to 48,529 of which 16,791 are outside of Dhaka.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), among the death cases, 119 were in Dhaka, 24 in Cox's Bazar, 25 in Chattogram, nine in Barishal, seven in Khulna, five in Mymensingh, two each in Rajshahi and Narail and one each in Narsingdi, Kushtia, Pabna, Khagrachhari, Bogura, Madaripur and Feni.

A total of 45,138 patients have already been released and of them 15,404 are from outside the capital.

Some 3,189 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment of which 1,304 are from outside of Dhaka.
