Ex-MP of BNP Nadim Mustafa arrested in 2015 murder case
Police have arrested former BNP lawmaker Nadim Mustafa in connection with a murder case filed in 2015.
Iftekhayer Alam, additional police super of Rajshahi confirmed that Detective Branch of Police arrested Nadim.
He said other details of his arrest will be given in a few hours.
Nadim Mustafa was accused for the murder of one Mojir Uddin of Baneswar, Puthia on January 5, 2015.
A week later, a Rajshahi court issued an arrest warrant against him, after which Nadim went into hiding.
Later in March this year, Nadim was granted six weeks of anticipatory bail by the High Court.
The High Court also asked Nadim to appear before the lower court before the bail period ends.
Nadim Mustafa didn't show up in court at the scheduled time and the court served a fresh arrest warrant against him. He was absconding since the arrest warrant.
But he attended several party meetings in Puthia and Durgapur to encourage party men to join BNP's Rajshahi rally to be held on December 3.
