A doll larger than life- Margot Robbie dazzles in ‘Barbie’ teaser

The highly anticipated trailer for the live action 'Barbie' movie has finally dropped yesterday.

The teaser opens in a sepia lined desert, where we get a history lesson about the origin of dolls, where the narrator states "Since the beginning of time, since the first little girl ever existed, there have been dolls," however, the narrator adds that it had always been baby dolls.

As the music swells to a crescendo, the audience is introduced to Margot Robbie in a black and white one piece instantly reminiscent of the very first Barbie.

The teaser then cuts to scenes introducing Ken, a president Barbie and Barbie in a disco.

Directed by Greta Gerwig starring the likes of Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken; the film also boasts a star-studded casting including America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Emerald Fennell, Alexandra Shipp, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Hari Nef, Ariana Greenblatt, Sharon Rooney, Scott Evans, Rhea Pearlman, Will Ferrell and more.

The film is set to release in July next year.
