Di Maria doubles the lead for Argentina

Argentina winger Angel Di Maria got at the end of a majestic Argentine move to double the lead for the Argentines in the 36th minute.

Di Maria found a fitting finish to cap off the silky move to rattle the defending champions to make it 2-0 before half-time.

Earlier, Lionel Messi, in his record 26th appearance at the World Cup, converted a penalty in the 23rd minute to give Argentina the lead in the final against France at the Lusail Stadium in Doha, Qatar on Sunday.

Di Maria produced a moment of brilliance from the left-flank to go past Ousmane Dembele who impeded the winger forcing the referee to point at the spot.
