Shah Rukh Khan opens up about failure of 'Zero'

After the release of the film, "Zero" in 2018, Shah Rukh Khan took a long hiatus of four years from the big screen.

Since then, fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of King Khan, which will now manifest into reality with the release of "Pathaan". At present, the actor is busy promoting the film—which will see its release on January 25— at the FIFA World Cup final in Qatar.

In a recent interview with cricketer Robin Uthappa, SRK revealed that he had not intended to take such a lengthy break. However, the gap was extended due to the pandemic and the ensuing lockdown. Consequently, the actor had more time to spend with his family.

In the same interview, the actor also discussed the film "Zero."

"Despite my efforts, it was not successful in theatres, and I felt really bad. I have listened to my heart enough, now I want to do something that the people will appreciate, but is unique at the same time," shared Shah Rukh.

The actor also revealed his plans for future ventures, once he has retired from the silver screen. "I might open Pathaan catering, Baazigar bakery, and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge sweet shop," Shah Rukh said while laughing.
