Tunisha Sharma suicide case: Police arrests ex-boyfriend
Famed TV actress Tunisha Sharma was found dead on the set of "Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul", yesterday at 3:30 pm. The police found the actress hanged in the set's washroom.
While many have considered the cause of death to be suicide, the police have continued investigating for any foul play involved. The actress' co-star and alleged boyfriend, Sheezan M Khan, was also arrested on suspicion of abetting the suicide.
"We are taking Sheezan to the Vasai court," shared senior police inspector Kailas Barve. According to the police, Tunisha and Sheezan broke up last November, which led the actress falling into a state of depression.
"Nothing suspicious was revealed in the post-mortem report. While the media has been questioning if she was pregnant, nothing like that was shown in the reports. Her mother said that Sheezan provoked her to commit suicide. They had an affair, but he denied marrying her, which is why she was depressed. He (Sheezan) admitted that they were in a relationship. They had a breakup in November, but they continued working together on the set," added the Kailas Barve.
Tunisha Sharma made her debut with "Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap" and rose to fame after appearing in multiple serials, including "Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat", "Gabbar Poonchwala", and "Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh", among others.
She had also made appearances in Bollywood films such as "Fitoor", "Baar Baar Dekho", "Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh", and "Dabangg 3".
