‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ child-actress Jhanak Shukla gets engaged

Jhanak Shukla, the child-actress from hit TV series "Karishma Ka Karishma" and "Kal Ho Na Ho", is now all grown up. The actress just recently got engaged to her boyfriend.

As a child, Shukla came under the spotlight for her role as Karishma in "Karishma Ka Karishma"—the Indian remake of "Small Wonder". She would also make an appearance in Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan starrer "Kal Ho Na Ho".

Afterwards, the actress would work in the Hollywood film "One night with the King" in 2006. However, in 2021 she revealed that she was no longer working as an actress.

In an interview with Brut India, Shukla would say, "After a point of time, I was like 'okay, too many people approach me'. However, sometimes I just felt I wanted some space. I was not actually fed up of acting. I was 15-16 so I was like, I have to chill now. So, my parents were also like, 'take a break'. That's somewhere when I lost track when it comes to acting. I started finding history interesting. Now, I am an archeologist."
