Throughout her career, Barsha has primarily played the role of the damsel in distress or love interest for her husband, Ananta Jalil. Now, the actress is reportedly hell-bent on breaking the stereotype by playing the role of a villain in their upcoming film, "Kill Him".

"I am an artiste, and I don't want to restrict myself to just one role. I don't think that I need to be a heroine in every film, I want to mold myself into different characters and alter my image in movies," said Barsha.

Barsha thoroughly believes that artistes need to experiment with their roles, otherwise they cannot go through the entire cinematic experience.

"The job of an actor is to explore new characters. I don't want to just play a heroine. Rather, I want to play a character whose story creates an impact throughout the film. Sometimes people call this character an 'anti-hero' or some call it a 'villain', but I don't try to label these roles. In my upcoming film, audiences will not be able to understand my character until and unless they watch the movie in its entirety," added the actress.

Barsha mentioned that her character in "Kill Him" is part of a mission for the well-being of the country. However,  this mission may be illegal under the law. Ananta, the movie's hero, disagrees with Barsha's actions in the film.

When asked who might play the heroine in the film, the actress wittily replied that, throughout the movie, Ananta will be busy falling in love with her.

Directed by Mohammad Iqbal, "Kill Him" will see Ananta Jalil essaying the role of an agent. This will mark the first time Ananta and Barsha will be working on a film outside their own productions.

Most of the shooting for "Kill Him" was completed in Bogura last December. The makers have mentioned that they have plans to release the movie during Eid.
