ECB delegation inspect Ctg venue, facilities
As per routine inspection, a two-member England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) delegation is currently in Bangladesh ahead of their tour next month.
Members of the team were seen at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram during the Bangladesh Premier League game between Khulna Tigers and Rangpur Riders on Tuesday.
"The two-member delegation reached Bangladesh and headed to Chattogram to inspect security and facilities ahead of the England teams' tour on Tuesday. It's part of their routine work as they inspect the venues and facilities ahead of every tour," Bangladesh Cricket Board CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury told media today.
"The delegation team came here in the past as well and after reaching Bangladesh on Monday, they went to Chattogram to inspect the venue. They will inspect the Dhaka venue and then leave for England," Chowdhury added.
England are scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on February 20 to take part in a three-match ODI and a three-match T20I series. The tour will begin with two ODIs on March 1 and 3 at the Sher-e Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur and then will move to Chattogram for the third ODI and the first of the three T20I matches on March 6 and 9 respectively.
The teams will then return to Dhaka for the remaining two T20Is scheduled for March 12 and 14.
