Salman Shah’s mysterious demise: Apurba to star in web series addressing it

Superstar Salman Shah, an icon who carved his throne in the hearts of the Bangladeshi audience, is getting his own OTT biopic series titled, "Buker Modhe Agun".

Directed by Taneem Rahman Angshu, the series will reflect the life of superstar Salman Shah, and his mysterious death. Though his name will not be mentioned in the series, the story is built around his life.

The web-series was announced in the Hoichoi Meet 2023, held last Wednesday. Popular actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba will be seen in the lead role.

In the span of only four years, Salman Shah worked in a total of 27 films. Almost all of these films are still popular today. His debut film, "Keyamat Theke Keyamat", which was released in 1993, starred him opposite Moushumi. After that, he worked with Moushumi in the films -- "Ontore Ontore", "Denmohor" and "Sneho", amongst many others.

On September 6, 1996, Salman Shah passed away, leaving many adoring fans in tears.

"Buker Modhe Agun" is set to appear on the popular Bangladeshi OTT platform Hoichoi, in February.
