Dev debuts fierce new look
After impressing the audience with his performance as Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari, the father of Indian football, in the film "Golondaaj", Tollywood actor Dev is gearing up to play Jatindranath Mukhopadhyay, in the film "Bagha Jatin". 

 

After impressing the audience with his performance as Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari, the father of Indian football, in the film "Golondaaj", Tollywood actor Dev is gearing up to play Jatindranath Mukhopadhyay, in the film "Bagha Jatin". 

Yesterday, Dev posted his first look in the film  on his Facebook account and within moments, it has gone viral. The uncanny resemblance of Dev with Bagha Jatin has left the audience in shock. 

 

"Countless years of undying struggle against the British Raj finally bore fruit in the form of the dreamed  Indian Independence. As a tribute to all those brave souls, we bring to you the story of one such fearless warrior "BAGHA JATIN" this Durga Puja," the caption read. 

Legendary freedom fighter of India, Jatindranath Mukhopadhyay killed a tiger with his bare hands and became an important figure in India's freedom movement against the British. He was even acquainted with another renowned person, Aurobindo Ghose. Fans are now keen to learn more about the tiger fight sequence and how VFX will be used in it.

The film is directed by filmmaker Arun Roy who previously directed period films like "Egaro", "Hiralal", and "8/12".
