Celebs come to Akhee’s aid following accident
Small screen actor Sharmeen Akhee suffered burn injuries in an explosion in the bathroom of a make-up room in Dhaka.
Currently, the actress is receiving treatment at the high-dependency unit (HDU) of the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
Chief Coordinator of the Burn Institute, Dr Samanta Lal Sen told The Daily Star that her condition was critical, with 35 percent burns. Doctors are treating her with utmost importance, he added.
Meanwhile, celebrities have come forward to help the actress recover soon. However, she needs four bags of B+ blood for her treatment.
Celebrities like Mehazabien Chowdhury, Ziaul Faruq Apurba, Pori Moni, Ashna Habib Bhabna, Dilruba Hossain Doyel, Q Nawshaba Ahmed, Nirab Hossain have all requested for B+ blood on their social media.
Akhee suffered from burn injuries following an explosion in the toilet of a make-up room at a shooting spot in Mirpur, around 2:00pm Sunday. She was first taken to a local hospital and later shifted to the burn institute.
Sharmeen Akhee acted in several projects like, "Boli", "Batasher Lal Phul, "Chandragrasta", "Shevulotion" among others.
