Aamir Khan offers Salman a role in his new film
Salman Khan and Aamir Khan have been the best of friends over the years, having always supported each other during difficult times. In the last 30 years, the two have collaborated on the cult comedy "Andaz Apna Apna" (1994) and have established themselves as two of Indian cinema's biggest stars.
Last week, Salman Khan was spotted at Aamir Khan's house, which fueled speculation about why the two Khans might have met. In an exclusive report, Pinkvilla published that Salman and Aamir had met multiple times in the last month, for 'professional' purposes.
According to sources, Aamir Khan has offered Salman Khan a part in a new film he will produce under his banner—Aamir Khan Productions.
"Aamir Khan has spent the last six months intensively working on the script with his director, RS Prassana. With the final draft in hand, Aamir believes Salman Khan would be the best fit for the larger-than-life drama. So, he has offered Salman a major part in the film," revealed an internal source, close to the project. They also added that Salman had expressed interest in the project at this time.
If the film is successful, it will be the first time in decades that two of India's most influential actors and producers will work together on a feature film, in front of and behind the camera.
This is also the first time Aamir has offered Salman a role in his film, and he does so for a reason. "Aamir believes Salman would better justify the film than anyone else in the industry. It's a script and character that fits with Salman's aura, while also having strong content and emotional flow. It's a subject close to Aamir's heart, and he's excited to embark on a new journey with Salman," elaborated the source, adding that Salman will make a decision on this film within a month.
