'The thought that goes behind the work is the main thing'

Bidyanondo Foundation, a non-profit organisation founded in Narayanganj in 2013 through 'Ek Taker Ahar,' has been awarded this year's Ekushey Padak, the country's second-highest civilian award.

Bidyanondo has been providing basic education, food, medical, and legal services to underprivileged and street children since its inception. Several exceptional initiatives of the organisation have already received widespread recognition both at home and abroad.

Kishore Kumar Das, the organisation's founder, talks with The Daily Star's Shariful Hasan in today's Star Special about Bidyanondo Foundation and its philosophy.
