Poet and researcher Emran Mahfuz's untitled poetry book Mukhoshpora Pathshala has been released in this year's Amar Ekushey Book Fair. The book has been published by Heritage Publications and the cover has been drawn by Anwar Sohail. Apart from this, a book documenting his research titled Shotobochorer Alamdanga has been published by Kaler Dhoni.

Speaking about Mukhoshpora Pathshala, Emran Mahfuz said, "Times have changed a lot. Nowadays, we don't respect people out of love, but out of fear and out of hopes that we will be able to get something out of them. This is not a normal human act. This hypocrisy adds to the lamentation and regrets people have at the end of their lives. Therefore, I have written about what I believe, know and understand. I think living is enough for something to be considered an animal. But for something to be human, it is required to have a mind and the ability to think. These poems are for people who are on that journey."

Emran Mahfuz started writing in 2005. His published books—Baje Humayun, Kalantarer Obhijatri, Kaida Kore Beche Thako, Aaj O Agamikaal, The Equation of Life, and many others. He currently works in an English daily and is the editor of Kaler Dhoni.

Books which document his research or are edited by him have been used as supporting texts in Undergrad, Masters and M.Phil courses at the university level for the past seven years.
