Miraz dismisses dangerman Malan but Roy looking ominous for Tigers
England suffered couple of setbacks as Bangladesh all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz dismissed Dawid Malan, centurion of the first ODI, before fellow spinner Taijul Islam sent James Vince back to pavilion in the second ODI in Mirpur today.
The visitors are 122 for three at halfway after 25 overs. England captain Jos Buttler has joined Jason Roy who is looking ominous in the middle for the Tigers, batting on 82 off 84 deliveries after the England opener registered his ODI career's 21st fifty, his first in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh could not achieve the early inroads they desired after choosing to bowl first but two dismissals in quick succession have give the hosts the necessary impetus.
At his introduction in the innings' 16th over, Miraz got Malan trapped in front, out for 11. The Tigers had their tails up from then on and Taijul got new batter Vince (5) to edge to wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim.
