Inspiring them to dazzle even brighter
Students, their families, friends and teachers stand in respect for the national anthem at the Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium in the capital's Mirpur yesterday. The Daily Star hosted the 22nd edition of recognising and feting the best O- and A-level students and saluted the nation builders of tomorrow. A total of 2,617 students received accolades for their achievements. Beaming faces lined up to receive awards from Robert Chatterton Dickson, British high commissioner in Dhaka, and Mohammad Nurul Huda, director general of Bangla Academy. A festive atmosphere prevailed at the venue in the event arranged after a gap of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the happy youth taking selfies with friends and family and enjoying the day devoted to celebrating their promise.
