Jahanara to play in Pakistan
As a precursor to launching women's T20 league in September this year, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is organising three exhibition women's T20 matches during the ongoing PSL. Two teams, with 10 foreign players from seven countries, will play alongside Pakistani players in the series to be held this week.
Former Bangladesh captain Jahanara Alam has been invited to play in this series, the cricketer disclosed through a social media post on Saturday.
"Alhumdulillah…..new cricketing assignment PSL (women league exhibition matches), Keep me in your prayers," she wrote in her post.
Jahanara will play in the Super Women team, which will be led by Pakistan cricketer Nida Dar. Apart from Jahanara's team Super Women, the other team are the Amazons. Pakistan's recent-past captain Bismah Maruf will be leading the team. The two teams will play a total of three matches. The Pakistan PCB organising these matches to mark Women's Day. The first match will be played on March 8.
