Biman removes Capt Sazid as chief of training

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has removed Capt Sazid Ahmed from the post of chief of training. From now on, he will act as the line pilot of Boeing-777.

The Biman management came up with the decision today following several allegations against Capt Sazid, including misuse of power, undue favour to his wife Sadia Ahmed and others, and misbehaviour with and discrimination against female cockpit crews.

In a circular, Biman said this order will come into effect immediately.

The move came two days after the national flag carrier on March 6 formed a three-member investigation committee to probe irregularities in hiring pilots and paying hiring unqualified Boeing 777 pilots.
