Chorki returns with thrilling new web-series ‘Mercules’

After their fabulous yet realistic portrayal of office interns in their last web-series "Internsheep", Chorki has returned with yet another amazing web-series for its fans titled "Mercules". Inspired by a true story, the series will be a drama thriller revolving around the journey of a girl.

Directed by Abu Shahed Emon, the web-series features Sabila Nur, Zakia Bari Mamo, Gias Uddin Selim, Iresh Zaker, and Aisha Khan amongst others.

Sharing her experience in the web-series, Sabila Nur said. "My character's name is Joyita. This story revolves around the journey of a girl—her encounters and how she deals with them. Shahed bhai is an amazing director. I have had a lot of fun working in this series with all my co-stars and artistes."

The rise of Chorki

"This series will always remain as a memorable experience in my life," added the actress. "I am sure the audience will like it as well. Moreover, the famed director Gias Uddin Selim will be appearing as an actor before the audience this time in our series."

Meanwhile, renowned actress Zakia Bari Mamo shared. "The series portrays a system, an entire national mechanism. I really enjoyed working on this series. Every character has multiple dimensions to them and the narrative is unique as well. All in all, it was a great experience for me."

For the director, this counts as his debut web-series. He mentioned, "This is my first time directing a web-series. It's a thriller drama series that follows the encounters of a girl whose lover was murdered by a mysterious killer in cold blood."

"Though it's a drama thriller, many social issues and events have been portrayed in the series," continued Abu Shahed Emon. "The story is quite different as well, but built in a way that everyone can enjoy."

The official release date for the web-series has yet to be announced. However, fans can expect to hear from Chorki soon.
