Siddikur falters on final day again
Siddikur Rahman once again suffered a final-day slip as Australian veteran Wade Ormsby took his fourth Asian Tour title with International Series Thailand win on Sunday at the Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin.
The 38-year-old Bangladeshi started the day in pole position, but finished way back in joint 27th position after carding a two-over-par (74) in the final round.
That means the two-time Asian Tour winner aggregated 13-under-par (275), seven shots behind Ormsby of Australia, who overcame Chonlatit Chuenboonngam on the first hole of a sudden-death play-off to take the title.
It's the fourth Asian Tour victory of Ormsby's career and the first since his win in the Hong Kong Open in 2020.
Siddikur, however, earned 17,114 dollars for his exploits in the event where he had racked up 70, 67 and 64 in the first three rounds.
