Popular model, dancer and actress, Sadia Islam Mou will be featured in the six-episode special Eid drama, "Chaad Hashe Alo Ashe", directed by Arif Khan. The actress spoke to The Daily Star about working on the project and much more.

Being one of the most popular dancers, models and actresses of the country, you rarely appear on the screen. Why is that?

I am very selective about the roles I play on the screen. If I get a good script, I take it without giving a second thought. I always prioritise dance over everything I do.

Tell us about your latest project.

Directed by Arif Khan, the script of the project has been written by Faria Hossain. I liked working in this production, since it is a family drama. Such kind of projects are rarely made these days.

You have shared the screen with many noted artistes in this TV serial. Could you share your experience of working with them?

It was delightful to have the opportunity to have worked with great artistes, including the likes of Ferdousi Majumdar, Dilara Zaman, and Dolly Zahur. I am honoured to have had the experience of sharing the screen with them.

Also, this is the first time I have worked with Afsana Mimi as my co-artiste, although I have previously worked under her direction. Mimi apa is one of my most favourite actresses.

Could you tell us a bit about your character in the project?

I play an expatriate in the drama, where her bond with her family will be highlighted. Arif Khan is a renowned director and I was satisfied working under his direction. I would also like to appreciate Faria Hossain for the extremely well-written script.
