1 Covid-19 death in 24hrs, current positivity rate 0.37%

One person died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 is currently 29,446 in the country and the death rate stands at 1.44 percent.

At least six new coronavirus cases were recorded during this period.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,38,014, the release added.

The daily positivity rate is 0.37 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.28 percent.

A total of 1,628 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 20 Covid-19 patients have recovered within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 20,06,821 and the recovery rate at 98.47 percent, said the release.

The deceased was a male -- aged between 41-50 years old, added the release.
