Usha return to Premier Division Hockey
Usha KC emerged as the champions of the First Division Hockey League with a match in hand as they handed a 7-1 defeat to Dhaka United in their penultimate round match at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in Dhaka on Sunday.
With the title triumph, the Old Dhaka outfit ensured promotion to the Premier Division Hockey League next season. They were relegated to the first division after failing to take part in the players' transfers in the 2017-18 season.
Nine wins from as many matches meant Usha KC took an unassailable lead with 27 points on the board, eight clear of second-placed Dhaka United.
The former Premier League and Club Cup champions last played in the Premier Division Hockey League in 2016.
