Warner Bros Pictures have released the trailer of "Barbie", and it seems everyone is either a Barbie or a Ken doll in the movie, except for Michael Cera who plays Allan—a line of the Barbie doll released in the 1960s and marketed as Ken's friend, with it later being discontinued.

The trailer only gives a hazy idea about the plot, but it appears to take place at least partially in a pink plastic town within Barbie Land, where all Barbies and Kens live harmonious pink plastic lives.

Margot Robbie plays the famous figurine, while Ryan Gosling dons the role of Barbie's boy toy, Ken. However, the two of them are not the only Barbie and Ken dolls. Dua Lipa, for example, plays the mermaid Barbie, alongside many other actors portraying various iterations of the famous doll.

Another surprise that was found in the trailer, was the inclusion of John Cena's name in the end credit scenes, suggesting that he is part of the film. However, the makers have not released any pictures or showcased his scenes in the trailer.

The movie has a star cast, including Kate McKinnon ("Ghostbusters"), Hari Nef ("You"), Emma Mackey ("Sex Education") as Barbie, Ana Cruz Kayne ("Little Women"), Sharon Rooney ("My Mad Fat Diary"), Issa Rae ("Insecure"), Alexandra Shipp ("X-Men: Apocalypse"), Nicola Coughlan ("Derry Girls"), Ritu Arya ("The Umbrella Academy") and Dua Lipa, just to name a few.

The real life humans are played by Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, and Helen Mirren.

The first "Barbie" trailer, which included a nod to Stanley Kubrik's "2001: A Space Odyssey", revealed that Barbie and Ken have been transplanted into the real world, where they must deal with the difficulties of no longer being dolls.

"Barbie" will be released in movie theaters on July 21, 2023.
