Jaya Ahsan starrer film "Peyarar Subash" (The Scent of Sin) has been selected for the 45th Moscow International Film Festival, in the competition category. The film has been directed by Nurul Alam Atique and produced jointly by Chorki and Alfa-i.

The film will have its international premier at the film festival, which will take place on April 26. In the project, Jaya Ahsan plays the lead role.

Speaking about the experience, Jaya said "This has been one of my favourite films to work on. Nurul Alam Atique was the director of my first film and I enjoy working with him. I was just as excited working with him on this project as well. Our film will be competing against some wonderful international films like 'The Dead Man's Bride', 'First Love', 'Paradise Lost', and many others. I hope this film continues to make a mark all around the world."

She also added, "In my opinion, there hasn't been any film like this before. Atique has a different way of viewing things, unlike our quintessential point of view."

"Peyarar Subash" has been filmed in Sirajganj and Pabna. The film also features Tariq Anam Khan and Ahmed Rubel, among others.
