Rabindra Sangeet exponent Mita Haque left us for good on April 11, 2021. Paying tribute to the noted artiste, a free healthcare camp has been arranged by her own organisation, Shurotirtho.

Today, (April 7), the service was provided at Mita Haque's own residence in Boro Monoharia, Keraniganj.

Incepta Pharmaceuticals Limited was in full cooperation with Shurotirtho in this event titled 'Mita-Juboraj Free Health Camp'. Mita Haque and eminent actor Khaled Khan Juboraj tied the knot in 1985. The actor passed away on December 20, 2013. 

A press release informed that this health camp began at 10 am, where local people received free health advice and treatment. The event continued till 1 pm.

Mita Haque was awarded the Ekushey Padak in 2020 for her outstanding contribution to music. Earlier in 2016, she received Shilpakala Padak. Her music training was imparted from Shurotirtho founded by her.

The artiste was born in 1962. As a child, she took music lessons from her uncle Wahidul Haque and later Ustad Mohammad Hossain Khan and noted musicologist Sanjida Khatun. Since 1977, this talented artiste performed music regularly on Bangladesh Television and Radio.
