10 Hindi films approved for import, ‘Pathaan’ coming soon

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will soon be giving permission to import 10 Hindi films this year. Next year, in 2024, around eight Hindi films will be released. Multiple sources have confirmed the news to The Daily Star. The ministry will issue a notice in this regard within a day or two.

On February 12, around 19 affiliated film organisations jointly sent a letter to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, advising that Hindi films be allowed to release in local theatres. The letter was sent through the Ministry of Commerce to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Now, the issues related to the import of Hindi films have been resolved. As a result, 10 Hindi movies will be imported for the year of 2023 and a total of eight Hindi films will be imported in 2024.

'Pathaan' might release in Bangladesh, decision tomorrow

With this news now being confirmed, there are no obstacles preventing the release of "Pathaan" in Bangladesh. However, no decision has been made regarding whether any Bangladeshi films will be released in India as a result of this decision.
