According to Hindustan Times, Nelson D'Souza of YRF shared a statement where he addressed his excitement on the film being released in Bangladesh.
"Cinema has always been a great unifier of nations, races, and cultures. It crosses borders, galvanizes people, and plays an important role in bringing them together. We are overjoyed that 'Pathaan', which has done historic business around the world, will finally have the opportunity to entertain audiences in Bangladesh!," said the YRF official.
"'Pathaan' is the first Hindi film to be released in Bangladesh since 1971, and we are grateful to the authorities for their decision. We've learned through the years that Shah Rukh Khan has a huge fan base in Bangladesh, and we believe 'Pathaan,' our latest offering from YRF's Spy Universe, is the ideal debut feature of SRK and Hindi cinema to premiere in the country, representing Indian culture and cinema in all its grandeur," added Nelson.
"Pathaan" is this year's largest Indian hit, grossing over Rs 1050 crore at the global box office.
It is also the most successful film in YRF's Spy Universe, which includes blockbusters such as "Ek Tha Tiger," "Tiger Zinda Hai," and "War." Salman Khan also made an appearance as Tiger in the film.
