Legendary musician AR Rahman has retweeted a video of a Hindu wedding taking place inside a mosque on his official Twitter account. The "Dil Se Re" singer shared the video just a day before the release of the controversial film "The Kerala Story".

"The Kerala Story" is based on the alleged radicalisation and conversion of some 32000 young Hindu women to Islam in Kerala. These women were later inducted into the terrorist organisation ISIS.

Rahman retweeted the video with the title "Here is another #KeralaStory" and added, "Bravo! love for humanity has to be unconditional and healing."

The nearly two-minute video shows a Hindu couple dressed as bride and groom sealing the marriage at a mosque in Kerala's Alappuzha city according to Hindu customs.

According to the video, the bride's mother sought the mosque's committee for assistance because she was struggling financially, and the mosque administration not only consented to host the wedding but also offered the bride jewelry and cash.

Meanwhile, "The Kerala Story" hit theaters on Friday. Sudipto Sen wrote and directed the film, which stars Adah Sharma, while Vipul Amrutlal Shah produced it. It claims to be based on genuine experiences of having converted 32,000 Kerala women to Islam.

According to ANI, the theaters agreed with distributors to screen the film on 50 screens in Kerala, but many have backed out. Later, it was determined that the film will only be shown on 17 screens across the state, with only one in Kochi.

Several presentations were canceled around the state as a result of demonstrations against the film for allegedly disseminating a false narrative of Islamic conversion.
