‘Adim’ heading to film festival in Bulgaria
After winning the best films award at the 12th Queens World Film Festival, the audience have been eagerly waiting for Juboraj Shamim's "Adim'' to have its theatrical release in Bangladesh on May 26. Meanwhile, the director has recently informed media outlets that after releasing in Bangladesh, the film will soon be screened at a film festival in Bulgaria.
According to what Shamim told media outlets, the film has been nominated in the 31st Love is Folly film festival in Varna. "Adim" has been selected in the 'International Competition' category.
The director also assured that they are already preparing for its promotional activities. Moreover, he is currently occupied with the process of the film's release, after which the next goal will be Bulgaria.
The Love is Folly film festival will be held in Varna from August 25 to September 3.
Previously, Juboraj Shamim's film "Adim" won the Silver Saint George (Special Jury Award) and the Netpack Jury Award at the 44th Moscow International Film Festival.
The crowd-funded movie was shot in the slums of Tongi, with actual slum dwellers. The 84-minute film is a joint production of Bangladesh and the Netherlands.
