"I am finding being alive fascinating", Emma croons in her new film, "Poor Things" by Yorgos Lanthimos and produced by the actress herself. In the teaser released, Emma's raven haired character can be seen brought back to life, by Willam Dafoe's mad scientist character. The teaser shares glimpses of a sci-fi, dream-like world where Emma is seen enjoying all the earthly pleasures.

The teaser then rapidly cuts through different scenes and introduces the rest of the cast, which includes Willem Dafoe, Mark Ruffalo, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott, Jerrod Carmichael, Margaret Qualley, Suzy Bemba, Kathryn Hunter and more.

From the director of "The Lobster" and "The Favourite", the film is loosely inspired from Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" and is adapted from Alasdair Grey's novel of the same name. The movie is set to be released for a limited time in September, 2023.
