Abahani regain DPL title

Abahani regained the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) title after beating Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club by four wickets in the title-deciding Super League match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today.

After 145-run opening partnership between Naim Sheikh (68) and Anamul Haque Bijoy (72), out-of-favour Afif Hossain took the charge during his unbeaten 53-ball 60 to spoil Jamal's back-to-back title party.

Jamal scored 282 for seven in 50 overs, courtesy of Nurul Hasan Sohan's 70-ball 89.  

Abahani reached the target with 285 for six in 49.2 overs.
