Fizz gets Campher, Shanto’s part-time spin dismisses Tector
Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman sent back Curtis Campher in the 43rd over to bring the Tigers back into the contest as his scalp left Ireland five down for 228, still needing 47 runs off the last seven overs to win the third and final ODI of the three-match series in Chelmsford on Sunday.
In the over prior to that, skipper Tamim Iqbal's decision to bring on part-timer Najmul Hossain Shanto to break the 79-run stand between Harry Tector and Lorcan Tucker paid dividends as the off-spinner sent back dangerman Tector for a 48-ball 45 to give Bangladesh an opening.
Tector, who scored a blistering 140 in the previous match, wanted to take on the part-timer but failed to clear the long-on boundary while trying to muscle a short-of-a-good-length delivery in the 42nd over.
