Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal is on a visit to Khulna ahead of the Khulna City Corporation Election scheduled to take place on June 12.

He reached the district last night, reports our Khulna correspondent.

The CEC is scheduled to take part as chief guest at a views exchange meeting in Khulna District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium this morning in the presence of the candidates of the upcoming KCC polls.

He will also attend a meeting on the law and order situation during the polls in the presence of election officials, executive magistrates, and members of law enforcement agencies at the conference room of Khulna's deputy commissioner at 3:30pm, according to the itinerary.

He is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech as the chief guest at a briefing in the presence of polling officials at Khulna Government Women's College Auditorium tomorrow morning.

The chief election commissioner will leave Khulna for Dhaka tomorrow afternoon, according to the itinerary.
