Sadek came to watch 'Adim' on crutches
On Wednesday afternoon, a huge queue lined up in front of the Star Cineplex ticket counter to watch "Adim." The excited audiences never watched a movie in Cineplex and so they were quite excited.
Among them one of them was seen walking around on crutches, he wore a white Punjabi and was super ecstatic on watching his film. Sadek lives in a slum adjacent to Tongi railway station. He came from Tongi to watch his performance on the silver screen.
Not only Sadek, about 30-35 people came from Tongi Slum to watch "Adim." All of them are associated with the movie, while some acted in the movie; while others have helped out during the filming of the movie. They have never watched a movie in such modernised theaters. It was a completely whole experience for them.
Juboraj Shamim told a local media that he is extremely grateful to inhabitants of Tongi slum for helping him with the movie. He wanted to release the movie in Bangladesh theaters just so he can watch the movie with them. He took all of the people associated with the movie from Tongi so that they could watch it on the silver screen.
Sadek, the man with the crutches, who plays an integral role in the movie, couldn't hold his tears as he watched himself on the screen. He really couldn't believe that he would get to watch his movie in the cinema hall.
"I am a physically disabled person now. Earlier on, I could walk properly as I used to drive a truck. However, a tragic accident led to my leg being amputated. Nowadays, I have to beg to warm my livelihood. I am really grateful to Juboraj Bhai for giving me the opportunity to act in this film. I have heard people from different countries have appreciated our film. This is such a wonderful achievement for me," said Sadek.
In the end, Sadek revealed that if he is ever given an opportunity to act in a movie, he will give his best in that role.
Adim will screen its last show tomorrow at Star Cineplex and Jamuna Blockbuster. However the film will still run in Narayanganj's Cinescope in the second week as well.
