Irfan Sajjad returns to shooting after tragic loss
Actor Irfan Sajjad, who recently lost his twin children, has returned to shooting for the Eid production titled, "Checkmate". He will share the screen with Tania Bristi in this drama.
Irfan Sajjad took to Facebook, sharing two still images from the set, to announce his return to shooting.
In 'Checkmate,' Irfan Sajjad portrays the role of a dedicated police officer who disguises himself and seeks refuge in the slums of Karail to dismantle drug smuggling networks. The drama revolves around his mission to apprehend a notorious smuggler. 'Checkmate' is directed by Jamal Mallik.
Upon hearing the news of Irfan's return to shooting following the loss of his twins, his colleagues and fans expressed their heartfelt support and well-wishes.
Exactly one month ago, actor Irfan Sajjad and his wife Sharmeen Sajjad faced a devastating ordeal at a hospital in Chennai, India.
They were expecting their first children, twins, who were to be born this coming July. Accordingly, they were preparing to welcome their children.
They went to India for check-up and it was then that his wife's health deteriorated. She had to be hospitalised and through an emergency caesarean section, where the six months old premature children were born and declared dead. The children were then laid to rest in Chennai.
A month has passed since that fateful day—a month where life carried on for others while Irfan Sajjad grappled with immense grief. Yet, life doesn't stop, and so he returned to his work.
