I don't do anything, yet I still end up going viral: Sunerah
Recently, in an interview with a local media outlet, Sunerah Binte Kamal talked about how controversy always seems to follow her.
Earlier, a video clip from "Antarjal" went viral on social media, where Siam's character slapped Sunerah in a concert. Netizens thought the scene was real and as a result the video would end up going viral on Facebook.
"I don't know why I was born with such bad fortune. I don't do anything, yet I still end up going viral. At that time, many people made derogatory comments about my character and cursed me on social media. At first, I was really embarrassed but later on I realised people are so stupid. They couldn't see a big camera in front of them. I really can't understand why they don't have any common sense. For these reasons, I am going viral, I don't have anything to do with it," added the actress.
The actress feels sad that her hard work doesn't go viral.
"I am really happy that Siam and I are such good actors that you felt it was real. I don't know why, but the things that I work hard on never become viral. In our country, false and fake news becomes viral as people who have a lot of free time try to spread them. There are a lot of people who enjoy being entertained by other's personal stuff, but I am not one of them. I am evolving as a person and I don't regret my mistakes, because I am trying to learn from them and trying to become a better person," shared Sunerah.
While talking about how she felt about receiving the National Film Award for her first film, Sunerah stated that she previously had no idea about the national prize.
"I love acting but I didn't have any idea about the National Film Awards. I had an idea about the Meril Prothom Alo Awards as I used to see it on TV. I don't know why, but English medium students aren't given ideas about government programmes. However, I will request the younger generation of English medium students to gather knowledge about these things so that they can tackle it in real life. When I got to know about the National Film Awards, it was a really big thing. However, when I think about the energy and time I have invested into the character, I believe I deserve it," concluded the actor.
