I believe that my work has earned people’s love: Mamo
Zakia Bari Mamo has had a long journey in showbiz, having worked in dramas, films and OTT—three mediums through which she earned the love of the audience. She also won the National Film Award for her performance in her debut film, "Daruchini Dwip". She has earned a reputation for being a talented actress.

I'm shooting for an Eid drama right now. A lot of dramas are being made for Eid. I believe in the quality, not the quantity. From the start of my career till today, I have tried to work on good projects, selectively and successfully. What I have always wanted is the people's love.
You have been in showbiz for over a decade and a half. What have you achieved during this life as an artiste?
People know me and love me, that's the biggest achievement. People know me as an actor and I love acting. I am constantly taking on new characters and stories. I believe that I have worked on projects I enjoyed and that also captivate people. That's why I have the audience's love. That's my biggest achievement.
Living with art and loving art, how do you view this?
I look at it positively. Life is beautiful if you live with art in your heart. Art and literature are very important for life. I love literature even though I am an actor. There is joy in this life.
What thoughts occupy your mind the most?
I think there are many such thoughts. Like the lack of rain, drought, heat, etc. We are cutting a lot of trees, but how many are we planting? Climate change is also something on my mind. I think a lot of trees need to be planted, whether it's by the new generation or the older generation. May the country be green, beautiful and comfortable. We must save the environment. These are the thought-provoking things on my mind.
What is the one thing you wish you could have on the set of your shooting?
I want a lot of rain. I have been waiting for the rain, as it is very much needed. I want to feel the rain. It is very difficult to shoot in this heat.
