1 Covid-19 death in 24hrs, current positivity rate 9.04%

One person died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00am today.

At least 134 new coronavirus cases were recorded during this period, according to a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The deceased was a female -- aged between 51-60 years old, added the release.

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 is currently stands at 29,453 in the country and the death rate stands at 1.44 percent.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,40,815, the release added.

The daily positivity rate is 9.04 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.21 percent.

A total of 1,483 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 102 Covid-19 patients have recovered within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 20,07,085 and the recovery rate at 98.35 percent, said the release.
