108 Covid cases in 24 hours, positivity rate 5.41pc

At least 108 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in 24 hours till 8:00am today, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

A total of 1,996 samples were tested across the country during this period. The current positivity rate is 5.41 percent.

Meanwhile, with the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,41,240, added the release.

No Covid-19 deaths have been reported during the period.

So far, 29,455 people have died of Covid-19 and the death rate is 1.44 percent.

At least 71 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 20,07,309 and the recovery rate at 98.34 percent, added the release.
