A blue-tailed bee-eater, locally known as Shuichora, stretches its wings on a branch at Arakul in Dhaka’s Keraniganj. This species, like other bee-eaters, is a richly coloured slender bird. It is predominantly green. Its face has a narrow blue patch and a black eye stripe. The bird is seen mostly in open habitats close to water. Photo: Timu Hossain
