Around 2,500 Bangladeshi ChatGPT users' data breached
The credentials of 2,463 Bangladeshi ChatGPT users have been breached over the past year, according to the Threat Intelligence Platform of global cybersecurity company Group-IB.
According to the platform, 101,134 accounts had their credentials compromised globally over the past year, with 26,802 accounts getting hacked in May 2023 alone.
The Asia-Pacific region tops the chart as the most affected region, with 40,999 accounts compromised by hackers. India ranked number one with 12,632 compromised ChatGPT accounts.
On the other hand, Bangladesh ranked 10th in terms of the number of compromised ChatGPT credentials between June 2022 and May 2023.
To keep their accounts safe, users should update their passwords regularly and enable two-factor authentication on the platform.
