Madonna’s 40th anniversary celebration tour postponed
Renowned singer Madonna has recently been discharged from the hospital after suffering from a severe bacterial infection. The 64 year old singer had been in intensive care for several days and had to postpone her 'career-spanning celebration tour' commemorating her 40th anniversary in the music world.
Taking to his Instagram account, Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary shared an update on the singer's health. He shared, "On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection, which led to her several day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected."
He further added in the post, "At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes her tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for her tour and for her rescheduled shows."
Madonna's seven-month-long celebration tour was initially scheduled to start on July 15. The singer was supposed to visit multiple cities around the USA, including Detroit, Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Denver, Atlanta, and Boston, among others.
