SRK's 'Jawan' and 'Dunki' rights sold at Rs 480 crores
After the massive success of "Pathaan", Shah Rukh Khan has etched another impressive record to his career as his upcoming films "Jawan" and "Dunki" rights have been sold at a whopping Rs 480 crores.
According to a local media, the rights to "Jawan" digital, satellite, and music have been sold for approximately 250 crore. The rights for "Dunki" were sold for about 230 crore, which remains the highest price paid for any film to date.
"Pathaan," which marked Shah Rukh's return after four years, set multiple box office records. Its rights were sold for around Rs. 100 crore. The film is presently available on Amazon Prime Video. Sidharth Anand's film made about 543.05 crore in its Hindi version, starring Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, and Salman Khan in a cameo. "Pathaan" is also available in Tamil and Telugu.
Atlee Kumar directed the action thriller "Jawan." Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and Priyamani play significant roles, and Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Dutt, and Thalapathy Vijay appear in cameos. Shah Rukh will reportedly play two characters in the flick. On September 7, it will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Rajkumar Hirani directed "Dunki" which marks his first collaboration with Shah Rukh, and also stars Taapse Pannu in the leading role. The film is slated to be released around Christmas this year, but no official date has been announced.
