Jahir Rayhan disappoints in semifinals
Jahir Rayhan finished seventh among eight sprinters in one of the three semifinals of 200m sprint in the Asian Athletics Championship in Thailand today.
The 22-year-old clocked 21.69 seconds, 0.02 seconds slower than his timing in the heat earlier in the day, to finish the campaign on a disappointing note. Jahir finished overall 20th among 24 participants, the fastest eight of whom will move into the final.
The fastest in Jahir's heat was Xie Zhenye of China with a time of 20.71 seconds while Pakistan's fastest man Shajar Abbas came third with a timing of 21.04 seconds.
