I am really happy that actors call me ‘Maa’: Dolly Zahur
Legendary actress Dolly Zahur has carved a place in people's heart by playing the role of a loving mother on both silver screen and small screen. Yesterday, the actor celebrated her birthday and opened up about her plans on her birthday.
The "Eishob Din Ratri" actor expressed that she has received a lot of love from audiences.
"I am overjoyed that everyone wished me on my birthday. Apart from acting, I know nothing. My entire life revolves around acting. It's my passion and my love," said the actor.
The actor believes that people's love is her biggest strength and that she always wants to be loved by her wonderful fans.
When asked whether she is satisfied with the life of an artiste. The actress stated that she doesn't have any regrets and that she is really happy with her life.
Through out her illustrious career, she has played the role of a mother in numerous dramas and films. Most of the artistes call her 'Maa'.
"It makes me really happy that they call me Maa. My heart becomes full when they address me like their mother. So many artistes call me 'Maa'. What other achievement can be bigger than that?"
The veteran artiste achieved her first National Film Award for her performance as Rabeya in "Shongkhonil Karagar". Later on, she received another National Film award for "Ghani". Other remarkable works by the artiste include "Aguner Poroshmoni", "Shongkhonil Karagar", "Shopner Thikana", "Nirontor", "Ghani", "Daruchini Dwip" and so many more.
