Bangladesh A implode to crash out of Emerging Asia Cup

Bangladesh A lost their semifinal encounter against India A by 51 runs, owing to a batting collapse at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Friday. 

Following a 70-run stand by openers Mohammad Naim and Tanzid Hasan while chasing 212, Bangladesh A faltered as they lost the next nine wickets for just 90 runs as they were bundled out for 160 in 34.2 overs.

Tanzid top-scored with a 56-ball 51 as he brought up his third fifty of the tournament but failed to impact the result.

Left-arm spinner Nishant Sindhu of India A was the chief destroyer as he picked up a fifer, finishing with figures of five for 20 runs, while the other left-arm orthodox Manav Suthar scalped three.

India A will meet Pakistan A in the final at the same venue on Sunday. 

Earlier, India A managed to post a target of 212 runs. India A skipper Yash Dhull scored an 85-ball 66 to take his side's total beyond the 200-run mark after they were reduced to 91 runs for four wickets. Their innings eventually came to an end when they were bundled out in the 50th over.

Sheikh Mahedi Hasan, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Rakibul Hasan of Bangladesh A scalped two wickets each.
