Liton follows protocol replying to captaincy query 

All eyes are on Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president as he was given the responsibility to determine who would become Bangladesh's next ODI captain before August 12, the deadline day for the Asia Cup squad to be submitted. 

Star batter Liton Das is amongst the three candidates in line for the role but the 28-year-old advised patience and remained true to his protocols when he was asked who would get the nod to lead the Tigers in ODIs.

"It's completely up to the cricket board. You will most likely receive the news in the next one to two days," he told the reporters at a commercial event in Dhaka on Thursday. "Instead of getting it from me, it'll be much better if it comes from the board and it won't be right for me to say it in any way since I am like an employee of the board and make a living through it."

BCB called an emergency board meeting on Tuesday and it was assumed that the drummed-up meeting would result in the board revealing the new captain but to the surprise of many cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus came out and said that it was decided in the meeting that Papon would talk to the three candidates and then make a decision.
Whether he gets the captaincy or not, Liton didn't forget to say that he would still "look to give a 100 percent for the team". 

"I think you should wait a bit for this. You will get it within the next one or two days. And of course, since I've been playing cricket for a long time, the team expects good things from me. I want to give something good to the country too. I will try to give my 100 percent which is something I always say, I will try to do the same in future as well," he said.
